Playing With IPads :)

iPad 1 impressions:

The iPad has Fantastic Internet connection compared to the iPod touch 3, it's so fast! Also, when you are located near a router by at least two meters the Internet can be better than a Mac. Sadly, when visiting YouTube, the iPad changes most videos to HD format and you can't change it to a smaller pixel for a faster load.

I don,t know about the iPad Wi-Fi but I do know that the range of Internet pick-up is also great, it has a range of at least ten meters (still being on high or medium Internet connection).

Tips/Tricks

1. To quickly undo typing SHAKE DEVICE

2. Double-Tap the CAPS LOCK BUTTON TO TYPE IN CAPS LETTERS. (Sketched arrow on keyboard)

3. To take SCREENSHOTS, PRESS THE LOCK/SLEEP AND THE HOME BUTTON (the button with the square in it) AT THE SAME TIME AND THE SCREEN SHOULD FLASH WHTE.

4.a Connecting device to computer opens iTunes

4.b For updating iPod/iPad/iPhone, simply left click your device once on the iTunes menu, and then left click the button that says "update".

5. Some Problems:

For blogger, when I try to type on the compose writing screen I can't type so I have to use the edit HTML screen for typing with the iPad. Then again, we were introduced to an app called "Blogpress" it solves the problem of not being able to type on your blog with an iPad, iPhone 3g, etc.

How I multitask, I multitask very poorly. When I try to do my homework I can easily be distracted and can't get back to work. Sometimes It matters what type of homework it is, if it's writing homework I tend to wait until the last second. If it's math, then I would gladly do that first.

Online assignments are the hardest to complete, I sometimes I go to youtube and start watching videos, other times I check my grades. Although I get distracted, the distraction only lasts a few minutes. As always it matters on what the homework is, so that explains a bit more. Out of 5 (five being fully distracted) my distraction level is 2-3.5.

To avoid distracting myself I close windows and try not to listen to my brother or who ever is next to me while working. To avoid multitasking I only do one thing at a time. When I multitask, I have bad grades, meaning, multitasking is hard and sometimes produces poor work, you can also get really stressed.

My parents help me multitask by opening needed information and sites on another computer. I think my parents could tell me what to do instead of doing it for me which makes me feel lie it's not my work, my parents barely do this. They only do this when I really am having trouble. I think my parents can't multitask because I've never seen them do it. Though I don't know for sure.

Good Apps ipod touch/iphone/ipad

Pocket Frogs: I think this app is awesome, you start off with a random frog and get tutored on what to do, I

think you should buy this app if you are patient. If you happen not to be patient then you have to use your itunes money to buy potions and stamps, potions grow your frogs for you while stamps let you send gifts. Gifts can be frogs or scenery, remember that in the later levels, potions don't grow your frogs all the way, but they make them happy.

Pocket God: Pocket God is a game where you can choose to kill or keep an amount of

islanders. You can do things to them by touching different parts of the screen and themselves. It has cartoon violence but I don't know about blood. It can either be completely funny or completely gruesome. You are a god and you choose their destiny.

iface fat: In my opinion iface-fat is the best practical joke so far. You take a picture of you or your friend and place special points on that persons face. Finally you finish and you get a fatter version of yourself. I recommend this game to those who have friends who don't take things to seriously.

If I could create an app, it would be a reference app that, like Wikipedia, could search for everything and constantly got updated by the Internet. You could search for game cheats, differences between money, famous people in history, how to make a paper airplane. Anyone could use it and write what they wanted (as long as it's not inappropriate or false). It would have multiple choices of languages. And it only needed Internet to upload writing/pictures. Best of all it wouldn't cost a thing.

I.T. Reflection Trimester 2

What I enjoyed during the making of this video was, being the main camera-man. I am shy and idea-less so I thought I could make up for that as a rookie camera-man. While I was shooting, I was given time to think what the next part would be and how we would play it out. All I had to do with my ideas was to ask my group if they liked them and try them out. What I really liked about the project was roaming around the school and helping other groups.

I think that the pixels could be added to for imovie and the cameras for Mac laptops could have a better fps (frames per second), but otherwise everything was fine. And if I didn't have to take a laptop because of it's fps I would. Then again the laptop is more stable on it's own than a hand-held camera.

One of the Biggest and most obvious challenges while making a movie is, thinking of what to film and how to film it. My group didn't have it all planned out though we knew what we were doing. The boy in the navy blue pants came up with a kind of cartoon-ish thief and victim chase. That solved part of it but we didn't have all the puzzle pieces, also our time was limited to a week so we chose to go with the flow.

If I was given the chance to improve the video I would change the continuos running and face offs into more interactions between people, but nearly everyone who could help was in a class so we had no choice. If there was an assignment that involved stop motion I think you should take an apple laptop and look for a site called Frame by Frame. Once ther you have a choice of a few things to download.
